Alexandra Lemke

Lemke is passionate about equity in public spaces, and connecting people to the places where they live, work, and pass through every day. Having herself lived primarily in urban centers, Lemke understands the impact that green spaces can have on daily life – and works to design spaces that are comfortable, joyful, and inviting.

She believes built work is strengthened by the involvement of diverse perspectives in the design process and relies on a mix of archival and contextual research, client and stakeholder feedback, and sustainability goals to define the project’s guiding principles. Her professional experience spans a range of project types, including public open spaces, public art, playgrounds, hospitality, development, historic sites, and cultural landscapes.
