Creating a cohesive and well-defined campus for community use and recreation

The West Lafayette Wellness Center is envisioned to be a comprehensive complex for indoor recreation for the residents of West Lafayette. The Center includes a pool with competitive lap lanes, aquatic exercise space, and leisure swimming space. In addition to the aquatics portion of the Center the project proposes multi-use courts, an indoor track, senior citizen continued learning space, and child care accommodations.

The Center is positioned within existing Cumberland Park, providing a multitude of new outdoor amenities. New trails and sidewalks were designed to further integrate neighborhoods and other park trails for easy access by residents. New plazas and amenity spaces surround the building and serve as spill out spaces for exercise classes and passive recreation. A parking lot sized to accommodate Center visitors and an expanded farmers market were introduced adjacent to the building.
